Program Title: Advanced Leadership Practices

Program Objectives

By the end of this program, participants will:

  • Apply strategic thinking and foresight to lead with vision.
  • Manage conflict through coaching conversations that resolve tension.
  • Empower and mentor teams using peer mentorship strategies.
  • Practice adaptive leadership to navigate change and uncertainty.
  • Demonstrate cultural intelligence in global leadership contexts.
  • Create a leadership case study project as applied learning.

Program Format

  • Delivery: Online, self-paced advanced leadership modules.
  • Duration: Approx. 6–8 weeks.
  • Materials: Leadership playbooks, peer mentorship integration, CELS/GOPD resources.
  • Assessment: Case study project, reflection journals, and applied scenarios.
  • Certification: CELS PDI Certificate in Advanced Leadership Practices.

Program Modules

Module 1: Strategic Thinking & Foresight

  • Purpose: Build capacity for long-term visioning and planning.
  • Topics: Anticipating trends, scenario planning, systems thinking.
  • Activity: Future-backward planning exercise.

Module 2: Conflict Resolution & Coaching Conversations

  • Purpose: Handle workplace conflicts constructively.
  • Topics: Mediation techniques, coaching frameworks, emotional de-escalation.
  • Activity: Roleplay: “Coaching a team member through conflict.”

Module 3: Empowering Teams through Peer Mentorship

  • Purpose: Strengthen leadership through team mentorship.
  • Topics: Peer mentorship model (linked to CELS Peer Mentorship Program).
  • Activity: Create a peer mentorship action plan for your workplace.

Module 4: Adaptive Leadership in Times of Change

  • Purpose: Equip leaders to thrive amid uncertainty.
  • Topics: Flexibility, resilience, change leadership strategies.
  • Activity: Reflection journal: “My adaptability strengths and gaps.”

Module 5: Cultural Intelligence & Global Leadership

  • Purpose: Promote inclusive, globally competent leadership.
  • Topics: Global awareness, cross-cultural team dynamics, DEI integration.
  • Activity: Analyze a case study of cross-cultural leadership.

Module 6: Reflection & Leadership Case Study Project

  • Purpose: Apply leadership learning to a practical case.
  • Activity: Develop and present a leadership case study (real or simulated).
